Fenn Vogt (Louis Fenn Vogt, Jr.) 1903-1993, was a self-taught artist who created nearly one thousand imaginatively conceived and exquisitely executed copper sculptures during the 1970’s and 1980’s. Initially working in the basement shop of his Westfield, NJ home, and subsequently in his garage shop in Lakewood, NJ, Fenn produced a remarkable variety of bas-relief copper images on weathered wood and painted backgrounds. Though most pieces were scaled for hanging in a home or office, he also produced many free-standing sculptures. Each year he made about a hundred signed and numbered pieces which were sold through several New Jersey galleries and to individuals nationwide. This website is an archive of the works in his possession when he died. The site is maintained by his family in hopes of finding more of his work out there in the world.
